Immersion minus belief is central to everything I believe in. Haha. No, but seriously, in my worldview belief is completely irrelevant to any knowledge and/or information to be had in whatsoever degree. Am I an opportunist? Perhaps.

Spent virtually the entirety of the past three months wallowing in all things Trump. Calling the experience "surreal" is in my humble estimation doing us all a grave disservice. Catastrophic rather. Certainly dystopian in damn near all respects. Maybe even apocalyptic--tho I wouldn't quite go that far myself. You know what it really puts me in mind of? Dada and that whole WWI Zurich perspective. Sometimes merely watching the nightly news feels akin to encountering the sound poetry of the original Cabaret Voltair denizens. Sometimes it makes about as much sense as that must have in its day too. Hugo Ball, where are you when this poor old world really needs you and your arcane shenanigans?
